Position Description

The HR Administrator will use a customer service driven approach to meet both internal and external customer requirements. This person will perform a variety of moderately complex activities primarily in support of Human Resources and Recruiting. He or she should be familiar with the concepts, practices, and procedures common in general business environment, and Human Resources specifically. The Administrator will be expected to rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks. This position reports to the HR Manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

The HR Administrator will:

  • Assist in the administration of benefits programs, responding to employee inquiries and assisting with claims where appropriate.
  • Ensure legal compliance by adhering to confidentiality guidelines, following policies and procedures and maintaining records.
  • Help retain human resource records by maintaining filing system for current and past employee information.
  • Support employee relations and safety management activities.
  • Add and maintain pertinent applicant information in Sigma’s database of active clients and candidates.
  • Assist HR with the onboarding process for new Sigma employees.
  • Assist in fielding incoming calls on a multiple line phone system.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks and projects as needed.
  • Work in a fast pace environment and under tight deadline requirements.

Requirements:

  • Associates in Business Administration OR equivalent experience preferably in a technical field
  • Professionalism; Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Independent, self-motivated and results driven, yet able and willing to take direction and be a part of a team
  • Must be able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check
  • Must be computer literate – especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must support Diversity & Employment Laws

Preferences/Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Communication skills to collect and provide feedback to both candidates and clients
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System
  • Demonstrate good judgment and problem solving skills
  • Basic financial skills to assist in making sound business decisions

Pay is commensurate with experience and education.
